Financial Operations Intern

The Financial Operations team is looking for an intern to support the internal financial operations and the team with day-to-day workflows and processes with additional projects assigned as needed.

Job Summary:

The Financial Operations Intern will be involved in the day-to-day processes of the Commissions team. This intern will support managers and the commission staff through a variety of tasks which will require organization and strong attention to detail. This paid internship will provide the opportunity to become familiar with a variety of the programs and the role will require the ability to adapt to learning new systems while learning the various aspects of how Valmark does business and pays our registered representatives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee data clean up as it relates to AOR (Agent of Record) Changes
  • Monitor, update, and correct the rep codes associated with accounts that are
  • involved in the AOR Change
  • Support TPMM (Third Party Money Manager) account reconciliation efforts
  • Collaborate with outside vendors to reconcile commissions paid on accounts incorrectly
  • Process unpaid commissions by verifying account status across multiple systems
  • General project assistance as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Must be currently enrolled in college seeking a degree. Majors such as Business Administration, Finance, and/or Accounting are preferred but not required.
