Marketing Analyst

This position will be based at our headquarters in Stow, Ohio, and is hybrid. 

Tuesdays through Thursdays in the office, and work from home on Mondays and Fridays.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The position is responsible for preparing and implementing marketing promotional plans via the Matco Tools Connect technician mobile app. Evaluate promotional performance and make changes to meet company goals and objectives. Works with Product Management, Sales, and Purchasing Agents on product launches and advises of any relevant concerns. Recommends changes to current promotional plans and procedures based on market research and new trends.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

·        Manage all aspects of Matco’s promotional strategy.

·        Design and implement reporting tools that track key metrics and performance trends and provide actionable insights to marketing leadership.

·        Develop quantitative analysis, ad hoc reports, and models to support promotional decision-making.

  •          Analysis areas may include but is not limited to: purchase patterns, price elasticity, usage and engagement, and maximizing revenue & margin

·        Daily use of continuous improvement resources (VBS) and analysis tools to make mix/margin improvements across promotional processes. 

·        Maintain accurate pricing for all promotional activities.

·        Revenue & margin management to target and review for pricing accuracy.

·        Assist with other promotional vehicles including National Flyers, District Sales Meetings, the Annual Tool Expo and others 

 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Marketing, Statistics, Finance, or Management
  • 1-2 years of experience in a statistical marketing or analyst role preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong knowledge of data reporting/mining software (BI) Business Intelligence). 
  • AS/400 experience a plus
  • Direct experience analyzing and synthesizing large data sets to deliver results
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements, terminology (margin, ppv, etc.) and the business impact each has   
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, drive change, and collaborate effectively with a variety of individuals and organizations    
  • History of driving results by managing with vision and purpose    
  • Ability to communicate and present critical information to all levels of employees and customers    
  • Strong career ambition     
  • The organizational agility, interpersonal and political savvy skills necessary to gain the cooperation of several departments that do not report directly to the position
