Private Equity Analyst

We seek to transform market leaders into larger, better-positioned, and more valuable enterprises. The firm completed its final platform investment in NQPE Fund I ($275M) in December 2021 and recently completed its sixth investment in NQPE Fund II ($500M). Including co-investments, the firm oversees ~$2.9B AUM.

 

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
QHP Capital is excited to launch the Private Equity Analyst Program, a full-time two-year opportunity aimed at talented undergraduate students graduating in 2025 (or recent graduates). This program is designed to recruit, develop, and mentor the next generation of leaders in private equity. As an analyst, you will play a critical role in evaluating investment opportunities, supporting portfolio companies, and driving value creation in a dynamic and high-growth environment. This program offers hands-on experience working alongside senior professionals on live deals, learning the intricacies of private equity investing, and gaining exposure to a variety of industries and companies.

 

Who Should Apply?
We are seeking undergraduate students in their final year (graduating in Spring 2025) or recently graduated in 2024/2023 who:

  • Are passionate about finance, private equity, or investments and interested in a career in financial services
  • Have strong quantitative and analytical skills, with an interest in problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Are self-driven, collaborative, and eager to learn in a high-performance environment
  • Demonstrate leadership in academic and extracurricular activities

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth market research, financial analysis, and modeling to evaluate potential investment opportunities
  • Support Thematic Research and Business Development/Sourcing efforts helping to identify potential targets
  • Assist in due diligence, working with cross-functional teams to assess financials, markets, and competitive positioning of target companies
  • Collaborate on the structuring, negotiation, and execution of transactions
  • Support the management of portfolio companies, tracking performance and identifying opportunities to enhance value
  • Present findings and investment recommendations to senior leadership and investment committees

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate students graduating in Spring 2025 or recent 2024 and 2023 graduates with a degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field 
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and research skills
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in Excel and other financial modeling tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Prior internship experience in finance, consulting, or related fields is a plus but not required
