Summary of Responsibilities:
Report to the audit manager, senior, or other more experienced staff. Initially, the staff will perform any routine audit, accounting, and tax assignments as directed by the firm. As experience is gained, staff are given more difficult tasks and greater responsibilities.
Essential Functions:
· Become familiar with the firm’s policies and procedures.
· Understand the rules, regulations, and code of conduct of the AICPA.
· Become familiar with pertinent IRC sections and regulations
· Obtain a working knowledge of tax and accounting research techniques and the various research sources in the firm library.
· Become proficient in preparing corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary, and other tax returns prepared by the firm.
· Assume responsibility for completing tax returns under the supervision of more experienced staff.
· Perform the following audit procedures under the supervision of more experienced staff. Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to control accounts.
· Analyze various accounting records and general ledger accounts.
· Prepare, process, and summarize confirmations.
· Prepare a variety of workpapers and schedules.
· Foot and crossfoot workpapers.
· Audit a variety of general ledger accounts.
· Vouch journal entries to supporting documents.
· Post adjustments to the working trial balance.
· Observe inventories.
· Assist in the preparation and issuance of financial statements and related disclosures.
· Assist in the preparation and issuance of a variety of s’ and auditors’ reports.
· Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the seniors, audit manager, or principals.
Working Conditions
This involves work in the firm’s office or the client’s premises. Work on the client’s premises may require using the staff member’s personal car. Overtime will be moderate to low throughout the year. However, high overtime may be required to complete audit and tax engagements.

Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the job's essential functions can be performed. Must possess the ability to deal well with people. Must be flexible, willing to work hard, and desire to learn.
Required Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in accounting or CPA eligible, and zero to three years of experience in public accounting. In addition, computer, word processing, and spreadsheet expertise is essential.
