This paid internship (2025 State of IL minimum wage $15.00/hour + commission on generated leads and closed accounts) is an entry-point opportunity for undergraduate students to be part of a driven inside sales team dedicated to bringing new healthcare solutions to the table. Through experiential learning and direct involvement in the sales cycle, you will strengthen your expertise, business skills, and industry knowledge that will prepare you to graduate with a competitive edge and the confidence to make a meaningful impact in your chosen field.
Our internship has opened the door for previous interns to obtain full-time sales positions with Fortune 500 Medical Device Companies such as GE Healthcare, Stryker, BD, Medtronic, and other distinguished companies in a variety of industries.

Responsibilities
You will be working alongside the Jigsaw Medical Sales Team and will be assigned to a sales manager to generate leads, build relationships with prospective customers, maintain existing customer relationships, and make sales to U.S. hospitals in all 50 states. You will also be learning, networking, and working closely with our executive team who have over 45+ years of experience in the medical sales industry.
The majority of your responsibilities as a Medical Sales Intern will be making daily calls into new and existing accounts, generating leads, and speaking with clinicians, physicians, hospital directors, and administrators on a daily basis. Your day-to-day responsibilities will also include:
- Prospective and follow-up calls to clinicians, department managers, purchasing agents, and other key hospital decision makers about our products.
- Strategizing with your sales manager to effectively communicate and align our innovative products with the needs of prospects and close business deals.
- Following the sales process for medical devices and receiving training on our products, clinical background information, the market, and sales approaches.
- Successfully working independently, as well as on a team, to drive sales for Jigsaw Medical.
- Contributing to cross-functional projects that assist with strategic initiatives beyond direct sales, such as market research, product launches, and competitive analysis to gain a well-rounded understanding of the medical device industry and support Jigsaw Medical’s broader business objectives.

- Taking detailed notes during your phone conversations and entering the information into our CRM.
- You may occasionally be asked to assist in non-sales related tasks around the office and our attached distribution center.
Requirements
We are seeking detail-oriented, reliable, and coachable candidates with friendly, energetic personalities. Our ideal candidate would be able to check off all the requirements below:
- Must be an Illinois resident and provide proof of a permanent Illinois address. We do not provide any relocation assistance at this time.
- Must be enrolled as an undergraduate student working towards a Bachelor’s degree at the time of the internship.
- Must be pursuing a business-related major OR minor.
- Must have experience or interest in sales, marketing, etc.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work well on a team.
- Must have their own internal drive to compete and succeed.
