POSITION TITLE: Project and Site Strategies Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Vice President, Project Management and Site Strategies
APPOINTMENT TYPE: Full-Time
Summary of Position
The Project Management Team creates the business case for Northeast Ohio to companies making investment decisions, makes recommendations to JobsOhio for incentive packages (e.g., tax credits, loans, talent advisory services, and grants), and leads negotiations of deals with company officials and state agencies. The Project and Sites Coordinator (PSC) maintains data, develops insights, and conducts market research using the customer relationship management (CRM) system. The PSC will work directly to ensure project flow connections between the sites team and the project team working with companies, JobsOhio, and local partners to provide accurate project communications and data.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provides overall project support to Project Managers:
- Ensures data accuracy in the CRM
- Conducts data analysis and market insights for various boards and committees.
- Compares project numbers across multiple facets, ensures time is allotted for the approval schedule; coordinates and enters project details (e.g., meetings, calls, notes) into CRM.
- Monitors active offers made to companies and coordinates follow-up with project managers.
- Coordinates Project Management Team project review meetings and thoroughly reviews active records (e.g., indicates what projects and fields still need to be completed, updated, or modified).
Supports Site Strategies:
- Assists in the maintenance of the CRM and the site database
- Conducts market research, coordinates calendars
- Coordinates responses to Requests for Information from location consultants and companies
- Staffs all JobsOhio and Team NEO sites meetings
Supports the application process:
- Ensures project is ready to receive application, coordinates with appropriate Project Manager to release application to company, reviews completed application for accuracy.
- Ensures all accurate project information is uploaded into CRM.
- Communicates deadlines to the client and Project Manager.
- Runs compliance verifications in CRM:
- Communicates any discrepancies with appropriate Project Manager and assists in solving issues, if any, with any outside organization (e.g., Department of Taxation, Environmental Protection Agency, Secretary of State, and others as deemed necessary).
- For approved contracts, acts as liaison for contract execution with JobsOhio, the Ohio Development Services Agency or other agencies, as appropriate.
- Leads CRM data entry and maintenance for site projects
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned:
- Creates presentations and reports, as needed
- Works with Research Department and others on metric reporting projects
- Coordinates VP calendar

Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally may move items weighing up to 15 pounds across the office for various needs.
- Primarily works in an indoor office environment, however, may at times work in an outdoor environment.
- The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Travel
Some travel is primarily within the state of Ohio during the business day, although some early morning and after-hours travel may be expected.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in economic development, business administration, economics, urban planning, political science, or related discipline. Internships or other work experience expected
- Master’s Degree a plus
Skills
- Interpersonal skills and client relations are key to this role.
- Successful candidate is skilled in writing, grammar, punctuation, and oral communication.
- Highly organized, good judgment, punctuality, initiative, strong work ethic, and self-motivation skills required.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite is required (strong Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred).
- Experience with SalesForce or other CRM helpful.
