Regulatory Compliance Analyst

Weston is seeking a motivated individual to join our team. The full-time Regulatory Compliance Analyst position is an exciting opportunity to develop compliance, financial, and operational expertise through corporate-wide projects and supporting external audits and requests. Under the general guidance of the Audit and Government Compliance Manager, this role ensures compliance with regulations and controls by examining and analyzing reports and documentation, assisting with preparation of required government reports, and providing audit liaison support to external auditors. The ideal candidate should be detail-orientated, organized, willing and able to work on their own as well as in a team environment, and be motivated toward making a positive impact.  

Expected Outcomes:

  • Develops knowledge to provide support for government accounting audits, federal wage laws, and other government cost accounting compliance subject areas, such as indirect rates.
  • Provides liaison support for external audit requests from federal, state, and local agencies (DCAA/DCMA/EPA).
  • Develops  necessary skills  to analyze and reconcile certified payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance relating to prevailing wage payments and classifications.
  • Interacts with other corporate departments, contract administrators, business managers, and external clients and vendors.
  • Assists in the preparation of required government financial reports, such as incurred cost submissions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (CPA or CPA eligible preferred).
  • 0 – 2 years’ experience in accounting or auditing.
  • Aptitude to learn, interpret, and apply government cost accounting rules regulations, and prevailing wage processes and reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with moderate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  • Maintain flexibility and positive attitude toward change.
