Research & Development Internship

Summary

 

The Research & Development Internship will allow the successful candidate to enhance their real-life experiences and learn modern skills in the field they are studying. It is an outstanding opportunity to get hands-on experience in an innovative R&D facility and understand how data is applied to make insightful observations, determine efficiency trends and business decisions.

Responsibilities

 

  • Complete studies on current and future product formulation and provide data and recommendations based on findings
  • Using systems to their maximum potential and make reporting effective, efficient, timely, accurate, and insightful
  • Analyze current developmental processes; develop and implement ideas for improvement
  • Develop performance standards & metrics; implement analysis and reporting processes to monitor operational performance
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

 

  • Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Food Science, Business or related field
  • Possesses interest in working food manufacturing
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Students with a minimum of one year of major specific classes, preferred
  • Ability to work in a plant environment with exposure to loud, hot, cold, or wet environments
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk and climb stairs for eight hours per day
