The 2025 Chicago Headquarters internship program will focus on Construction Equipment Products and Solutions. Our products and solutions help construct new cities, plan for urban growth, and create a sustainable world.
We're working on exciting technologies like self-driving machines, electric equipment, and remote-control systems to make construction more efficient and environmentally friendly. Also, through our continuing pursuit of reduction of greenhouse gases and waste generated by manufacturing sites and the lessening of the burden on the environment, Komatsu innovation will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Assist members of the accounting and IT department on various projects underway
- Obtain an understanding of the accounting software and logic. Help solve problems with innovative solutions.
- Assist with analyzing certain parts of the business, including assisting with the financial forecasts.
- Will include time with the operations and loan acquisitions department to understand the business flows.
- Shadowing member(s) of the accounting and operations departments as they perform their duties.
- Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
- Preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, and other documents.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be a recent graduate or actively working towards a Bachelor’s or master’s in accounting or finance with an emphasis on IT systems.
- Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
- Require a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers, and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
- Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
- You should be collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn.
