Contract Summary
Writing, copyediting and production for the company’s internal communications, including slide decks, internal newsletter for email and print, company-wide Slack messages, and employer brand and information campaigns (eg: posters, fliers). Availability to meet or message with MycoWorks point of contact on a regular basis.
Approx: 4 - 8 hours per week, varying.
Responsibilities:
- Video Billboard production (biweekly): Copywriting, copyediting, design and layout of slide deck using content provided by People/Culture team; preparation of site-specific versions.
- Company Newsletter production (biweekly): Copywriting, copyediting, design and layout of internal newsletter for email and print, using content provided by People/Culture team.
- Cultural Recognition messages (biweekly or monthly): Copywriting and copyediting for educational and inclusive company-wide messages celebrating days of cultural significance (eg: Indigenous History Month, Juneteenth, Hispanic Heritage Month).
- Company-wide Slack messages (periodic): Copywriting to support People/Culture, Marketing and Communications teams with posts to amplify informational or milestone company moments.
- Brand or Informational Campaigns and other opportunities (periodic): Copywriting to support employer brand or informational campaigns, eg: posters, fliers, and speeches.
Qualifications:
- Strong writing skills: able to efficiently summarize and organize content into clear, succinct messages that effectively reach our diverse audience and readership, including teammates across the US, EU and plant floor technicians
- Basic visual design and layout skills for assets such as slide decks, email templates, and fliers using Google Slides, Gmail and Canva
- Detail-oriented copyediting with a passion for excellence
- Effective time management across a diverse range of tasks and projects
- Fluent speaker / writer of English
- Basic understanding of American cultural days of recognition (eg: Juneteenth, Hispanic Heritage Month, etc.)
- Commitment to inclusive and accessible communication
- Experience in Marketing, People Operations, or Communications
