Community Engagement & Events Internship
Summary of Position
Price Hill Will (PHW) seeks a highly organized, driven, and self-motivated individual for the position of Community Engagement & Events Intern. The Community Engagement & Events Intern will be responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of the Price Hill Will annual fundraiser, community events, and programming. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and is interested in working with a nonprofit. The position reports to the Marketing & Venue Director. This position will last the duration of a semester (approximately 3 months) with the potential for extension.

Our programs connect residents, particularly immigrants, BIPOC, and residents with lower income or lower formal education levels, to resources, programming, neighborhood engagement opportunities, and leadership development. Community Engagement & Events Internship Job Description
Responsibilities
- Assist the Marketing & Venue Director in the planning and execution of Price Hill Will's annual fundraising campaign and event; duties include creating event materials, booking vendors, setting up for the event, etc.
- Assist the Marketing & Venue Director and Projects & Events Coordinator in the planning and execution of community events and programming, including Arts@ARCO, community volunteer days, and neighborhood celebrations
- Canvas print materials to local businesses and partner organizations
- Conduct in-person outreach and inform community members about relevant neighborhood projects, resources, and activities
- Design and maintain systems to collect data and maintain up-to-date records for programs, projects, events, and outcomes
- Research, collect, organize, and evaluate information of importance
- Understand, represent, and communicate PHW’s mission, vision, and core values
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Must have strong customer service and organizational skills
- Must be reliable and timely in attendance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and independently without constant supervision
- Attention to detail and confidence to speak up and act when safety and/or quality are compromised
- Comfort with multitasking and maintaining efficiency and productivity
- Deep understanding of equitable practices and appreciation for equitable dynamics in the workplace
- Spanish proficiency a plus
Additional Expectations
- Must be able to work some nights and weekends, and to travel occasionally for work
- Must have a valid driver's license and regular access to vehicle
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs — duties will involve moving tables, chairs, and equipment for events

- Compensation based on availability, prefer to work with University partner (i.e. Federal Work Study)
