Market Representation Intern


Job Description

The JM Family College Internship program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. As part of this program, you will actively contribute to your team’s success, learn about JM Family’s companies and culture while obtaining new skills through learning opportunities, networking events and much more.

 

The ideal candidate will be available to work full time hours during the Summer Internship Program (May 27, 2025 - August 1, 2025).

 

Interns will engage in meaningful work and gain insights into specific projects or tasks, providing hands-on experience, and contributing to various department initiatives. They will learn about JM Family’s culture including our core values: Consideration, Cooperation, Communication, Innovation and Accountability. The primary focus of the Market Representation Intern is to effectively evaluate and hold dealers accountable to the Toyota Dealer Agreement (TDA); In a way that fosters partnership and collaboration by providing meaningful analytics and tools to Dealers and Field staff based on the SET business model and, ultimately, ensure the best Toyota brand representation while maximizing franchise value.   

 

This internship will provide the opportunity to gain exposure within the three areas of Market Representation: Business Management, Facility Planning, and Franchise Administration.  This role is part of a collaborative team that works with both internal and external stakeholders (SET Associates and Dealer Partners). 

 

The intern will be given opportunities to work on various projects such as analyzing dealer financial data report creation within operational systems and related data analysis, dealer franchise agreement review and administration, dealer program administration, and the review of internal policy and legal agreements.    

 

The ideal candidate must possess good interpersonal skills and be at ease while interacting at multiple levels within the organization. 

 

Responsibilities:

Assisting with daily operations and tasks specific to the role.

Contributing to ongoing projects and supporting team efforts.

Performing research or data analysis as needed.

Reviewing and understanding Toyota’s Market Representation policies and procedures

Assisting the team in preparation of packages prior to submission to Toyota Motor North America (TMNA)

Assist in special projects including build out of new Dashboards

Completing assignments and reporting on progress

 

Qualifications:

This is a full-time position with flexible working arrangements depending on the business need.

The ideal candidate will be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or other degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university, with a focus in a relevant field. Candidates in related fields will also be considered. Must have completed at least one semester of coursework.

Must possess strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills.

Ability to work on several projects at the same time.

Have excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas succinctly (orally, visually, and in writing) and logically.

Effective use of technologies and tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe are required.
