2025 Summer Internship | Logistics Sales

ABOUT AXLE LOGISTICS

We are a non-asset based, third-party logistics (3PL) company with a focus on providing safe and reliable advanced truckload, LTL, intermodal, and warehousing transportation services to a wide variety of customers throughout the continental U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Our company was built with the overall vision of bringing a sense of comfort and convenience to an industry often filled with inefficiencies. We accomplish this by applying a unique overall philosophy to supply chain logistics management that includes providing specialized customer service. Axle Logistics is seeking a highly motivated candidate that thrives in an environment where hard work truly pays off. Based in the brand-new Knoxville, TN headquarters, this highly competitive Summer Internship Program grants exposure to the fast-paced world of Logistics. Responsible for collaborating with its internal Axle team, this internship provides the skills and techniques to be a successful salesperson, account manager, and operations manager in an ever-changing and dynamic industry. In this rotational program, you take on the full scope of our Logistics Consultant role which involves sales, account management, and operations.

 

What does the position require?

  • Lead generation
  • Qualifying leads
  • Account Management
  • Operations Management
  • Identifying key decision-makers
  • Utilizing our TMS System (McLeod Software)
  • Load Building and Planning
  • Building out an organizational chart of key participants
  • Utilizing internal CRM to capture all corresponding information
  • Making contact with an identified decision-maker
  • Selling Axle Logistics and its portfolio of services
  • Negotiation of contracts and rates
  • Implementation of services
