Talent Acquisition Intern
Overview
With direction from a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, Director of Campus Recruitment and Development, and Managing Director, this role is responsible for district network office recruitment and selection efforts. This role will execute office recruiting plans to reach selection process activity, full time and intern contract and conversion goals, and online presence. Critical competencies in this position include interpersonal savvy, priority setting, strong verbal and written communication skills, and drive for results.
Primary Responsibilities
Sourcing & Selection
• Utilize social media platform (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) to source full time and campus candidates and engage with potential talent
• Conduct Boolean search techniques to refine searches on search engines, job board, and social media
• Promote recruiting efforts through strategic marketing
• Actively participate in campus clubs and organizations to promote and brand Northwestern Mutual
• Identify opportunities and assist in the coordination of on campus events including career fairs, guest speaking engagements, etc.
• Review resumes and schedule initial interviews
• Shadow interviews conducted by district recruiters and leaders
Accountability, Tracking, and Analysis
• Develop proficiency and use of applicant tracking system to maintain candidate databases and accurate records of prospects to ensure efficiency of the selection process
• Assist in the coordination of leadership team meetings and the preparation of activity/results reports
Qualifications/Requirements
• May 2025 graduate
• Part-time hybrid role: 10-15 hours per week
• Interest in identifying, engaging, and converting premier talent
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Interest in working in a team
• Strong marketing skills
