Video Editor Intern

The Project 96 Video Editor Intern will assist in creating video assets for all of our media channels. The Video Editor is able to create engaging content that will encourage our supporters to learn more about our story. An ideal candidate loves to develop and create captivating content.

 

What This Role Entails

- Edit an array of videos across a variety of formats and genres including but not limited to documentary, highlight reels, product, lifestyle, vlogs, short-form, long-form, branded commercials, and social content.
- Collaborate with Art Director, Producers, Directors, Editors, and Graphic Design teams to transform an assortment of photography and video into branded content.
- Elevate video-based projects into interactive stories through motion graphics and storytelling techniques.
- Manage the day-to-day organizing, sorting, and logging of all media developed from new and raw content.
- Select and sort through footage with the intention of story development.

 

What You're Skilled In

  • Technical Proficiency: You are well-versed in editing software. You are up-to-date with Adobe Premiere Suite and have previous experience with color grading (preferably DaVinci).
  • Time-management: You work well under pressure. You have the ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexities, and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptive: You are a positive team player with an eagerness to learn new technologies and tools.
  • Creative Story-Telling: You know how to develop stories from scratch. You can pull stories from ordinary footage and rework previous footage into something new.
  • Distribution: You are well-versed in upload formats. You have a strong knowledge of upload requirements and formats for various platforms, including but not limited to YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram videos.
  • Autonomous: You have the ability to work under leadership, but you need little oversight to get the job done. You constantly look for ways to improve your skills and stay on top of new editing techniques.
  • PLUS: Basic familiarity with videography techniques and camera manipulation.
