Local Hire Local Government Administration Expert Specialist
In this Local Hire (IRC CA Local Government Administration Expert Specialist) position, you will work in the Interagency Recovery Coordination cadre to assist local communities in recovery efforts.
Typical assignments include:
- Utilizing significant experience and understanding of local governments and organizations to provide expert advice to local government leaders, including elected officials and city/county managers, on how to address community recovery management needs.
- Identifying local government capacity gaps and possible strategies to address those gaps.
- Facilitating meetings between local officials and entities that can provide resources to enhance local government operations.
- Drafting community recovery support analysis and recommendation for the Federal Disaster Recovery Coordinator.
- Leading discussions with diverse audiences.
- Identifying training needs for local staff and community members to build capacity.
