Reports to: Organizing Manager, Campaigns
Location: Washington, D.C. (3 days in office & 2 days remote each week)
Internship dates: 1/13/2025 through 4/11/2025
Status: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
Salary: $20/hour not to exceed 40 hours/week
Launched in 2016, The Hub Project is a nonprofit effort composed of a growing team of communications, research, operations, and organizing experts who have extensive experience in campaign strategy, digital, and polling and analytics. We believe in a country where everyone has the opportunity to succeed in our economy and participate in our democracy, and we make that vision a reality by partnering with advocacy groups – bringing surge capacity and coordination to build innovative and effective campaigns.
Position Summary: The Hub is accepting applications for an Economy Campaigns Intern to support the Campaigns department in the execution of advocacy campaigns focused on educating the public about critical economic issues and urging elected officials to support policies that benefit working people and families. Our campaigns leverage a mix of grassroots organizing, paid media, and earned media tactics to advance the goals of the Hub and its allies. This is a paid position.
As an Economy Campaigns Intern, you'll:
- Support the Economic Education Project’s campaign planning process, including drafting and editing program memos.
- Draft press and policy materials and/or digital content.
- Provide logistical support for earned media events such as town halls, press conferences, roundtables, lobby days, etc.
- Help communicate our work to key partners.
- Assist with media monitoring and basic research on the media landscape.
- Conduct policy research, monitor economic votes by key members of Congress, and draft research memos as needed.
- Attend partner meetings and share followup information.
- Support the paid media team on projects as needed.
- Other projects as assigned.
