Payroll Specialist

PAYROLL SPECIALIST | FULL  TIME | Atlanta, GA

Liberty Classical Schools seeks a full-time Payroll Specialist to assist the Human Resources department with all payroll related processes. This includes bimonthly payroll submissions across all entities. This position reports to the HR Director at Liberty’s Atlanta office. 

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Enters, reviews, and submits bimonthly payroll runs for hourly and salaried employees for all three entities.
  • Maintains stipend and bonus approval records for tracking and timely payment.
  • Audits payroll reports, benefits deductions, and TRS reports to ensure accuracy and proper deductions.
  • Perform monthly benefit reconciliation to ensure accuracy in employee benefit enrollments, deductions, and contributions.

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
  • Two plus years payroll processing experience required, Paylocity experience preferred
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or HR certification, preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational and mathematical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality
