Marketing/Research Commercial Real Estate Internship 10 weeks (paid)

Description:
10-week internship program offers learning experiences in the areas of marketing, research, and 
communications within commercial real estate brokerage, commercial and residential property 
management, and investment/development.

Expected Outcomes:
At conclusion of internship, intern should be able to demonstrate ability to i) gather market 
research data, ii) navigate a CRM platform (Apto) iii) research properties and businesses, iv) 
develop targeted marketing campaigns (to include social media and email) to prospects.

Education:
Rising seniors majoring in business, communications, real estate, or marketing.

Requirements:
- Students applying for this internship must demonstrate proficiency in all Microsoft applications 
(Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
- Experience or education should demonstrate interest and commitment to a career in the commercial 
real estate industry
- Demonstrate dependability, self-sufficiency and motivation in past work or extracurricular 
activities

JUNE 2 – 3
Conducted in person at Glen Allen, VA corporate office
Orientation to Thalhimer and aspects of all commercial real estate disciplines including the 
following:
o Brokerage
o Capital Markets
o Development
o Residential Property Management
o Commercial Property Management
o Project Management
o Research & Marketing Functions

JUNE 4 – AUGUST 7
Under guidance from research and marketing director, complete specific work/project assignments in 
Thalhimer's Glen Allen location primarily

AUGUST 8
Located in Glen Allen office for intern group for project wrap-up presentations and individual exit 
interviews
