Global Procurement Operations Intern

This internship will provide the Intern with insight into how McGraw Hill sources and engages suppliers and authors throughout the third party’s lifecycle. The goal of this internship to have 5 rotations over the 10 weeks in Procurement, Contract Management, Accounts Payable, Contingent Workforce, and Content Services functions.

This is a 10-week summer internship from June 9th – August 22nd (flexible start date) and is a remote internship. Candidates need to currently be pursuing a degree within the United States.
What You'll Do:
- Support Procurement Processes: Assist in the preparation and issuance of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. (25%)
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze procurement data to support decision-making and identify potential cost-saving opportunities. (25%)
- Participate in cross functional projects within the Global Procurement Operations team. Projects will focus on people, process, and system enhancements. (25%)
- Complete self-driven projects/tasks as assigned/managed by key team members of the Global Procurement Operations team. (25%)
We’re looking for someone with:
- Working toward (or recently completed) a degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Accounting, and/or Finance is preferred
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs with a high level of proficiency in Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

The pay range for this position is between $18-20/hour, however, pay offered may vary depending on degree pursuing, knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
