Supply Chain Fleet Intern

POSITION SUMMARY

 

As a Supply Chain Intern, you will be learning about fleet management and regulation compliance.  A large component of your work will revolve around our fleet audit project and fleet status analysis. 

 

We are seeking a detail oriented, self-starter who is willing to dive in the deep end of this project.  Your Microsoft Access/Excel skills, analytical nature and communication capabilities will be tested.  Having experience or general understanding of Class 1 to Class 8 vehicles is a plus.

 

This role is critical to the company’s ability to effectively manage our vehicle fleet going forward after multiple acquisitions and over 1000 vehicles added to the fleet in 2021.

 

The right individual for this role will have the ability to their above-mentioned skills to lead an app-based vehicle audit and subsequent fleet analysis that will help our fleet team navigate a challenging year in the automotive industry and help forecast vehicle demand for years to come.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage utilization of technology to support objectives
  • Analyze large volumes of data with meaning
  • Find and retrieve missing data
  • Report results to the team/organization

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Degree Focus: Supply Chain 
  • Special Requirements: General knowledge of Class 1 to 8 vehicles is a plus 

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum experience: Ability to communicate effectively, conduct analysis of data and build detailed reporting.
  • Legal Age Requirements: At least 18 years of age

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is performed in a typical office environment and may require standing, bending, lifting of boxes or packages under 10 lbs., and sitting for long periods of time.

Work requires regularly inputting/retrieving words or data into or from an automated/computer system.
