Technical Program Manager Intern


Are you a student eager to gain hands-on experience in project management? Lexmark is offering an exciting opportunity for an Academic Year Part-Time Intern to join our team as a Technical Program Manager (TPM) within the Americas Professional Services and Global Practices Organization. This internship provides a unique chance to develop valuable skills while supporting our customer-focused initiatives.

 

A TPM promotes communication and teamwork among individuals and groups both inside and outside the organization. They are accountable for supporting in pre-sales project activities from quote generation to contract signature, as well as the lead for project implementation.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree or certification in a relevant field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, Project, and Dynamics Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and willingness to take on new challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior exposure to project management concepts.
  • Familiarity with customer-facing interactions.
  • Basic understanding of sales engagement processes.

Responsibilities

  • General and Administrative Tasks
    • Submit Timecards promptly.
    • Create and/or provide input on documentation and processes.
  • Pre-Sales
    • Aid in providing budgetary estimates, proposals, and quotes to internal and external stakeholders upon request.
    • Collaborate with the Contracts Manager for evaluation and production agreements.
  • Implementation
    • Contribute to initiating Microsoft Dynamics opportunities for Closed/Won invoicing procedures.
    • Assign Technical Program Managers (TPM) and request Technical Integration Specialists (TIS) to projects.
    • Facilitate internal knowledge transfer between Solution Architects (SA) and TIS.
    • Participate and provide assistance (e.g., document minutes) in customer project kickoff meetings.
    • Assist TIS in organizing technical meetings as required.
    • Collaborate and develop project plans/schedules with the assigned TIS.
    • Conduct/Assist internal and external weekly/biweekly project status meetings and provide updates/documentation in the associated Dynamics project.
    • Manage and document issues and risks with TIS and the customer.
    • Update the project plan as it progresses, and drive them to completion, obtaining customer sign-off for closure activities.
  • Post Implementation
    • Support/review and input contract-specific data in Position Asset (customer contacts, asset contacts, quantities, modules purchased, contract documentation).
    • Submit/assist and manage the Position Asset for review and approval by the customer support team (TSC).
    • Facility/assist/participate in final communication with customers regarding steady-state transition.
    • Provide assistance in preparing necessary documentation to customers for steady-state transition.
    • Assist in completing closeout procedures in Dynamics.
    • Offer support to the Global Business Services (GBS) Team on Subscription//Software Maintenance and Support (aka SMSA) Annuities.
