Instructional Design Intern

Assist the Learning and Development Team in creating and reimagining the learning experience for Viaflex team members.  Design, create, and recommend training curricula and workshops based on adult learning principles.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Translate ideas, process documentation, team member expectations, data, and insights into thoughtful, relevant, and useful instructional materials.
  • Create training assets, including videos and infographics using guidance from subject matter experts and learning and development leadership.
  • Utilize design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite to create engaging learning experiences.
  • Ensure designs align with the learning and development strategic plan and brand consistency.
  • Support new team member orientation and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify instructional design needs.
  • May implement and update documentation and knowledge resources.
  • Prepare various documents and reports as needed.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Seeking an associate or bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Education, or related field. Minimum 1-year related experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Previous experience with Graphic Design preferred. Demonstrate innovative and creative thinking. Exceptional oral and written communications. Proficiency with a computer, including Microsoft Office programs. Capacity to be flexible and multitask. Proficient with design tools, including Canva and Premiere Pro. Ability to communicate effectively with team members. Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision. Limited travel may be required.

Physical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Working Conditions: Exposure to a normal office environment. Position may occasionally require entering a production environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varied temperatures.
