Healthcare Compliance Intern
Quartz is seeking an intern to join our Compliance team from June to August 2025. This paid internship will offer valuable experience and growth opportunities to prepare you for the next steps in your career. This position would be ideal for a student that enjoys researching complex topics, performing analysis, and applying their new knowledge. A strong candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills, is good at multitasking, and is detail oriented. Familiarity with health insurance or the health care industry is valuable but not required!

Responsibilities
You will participate and learn important skills in real-world situations that can be applied to your career beyond the classroom to include, but not be limited to:
- Industry Knowledge: health insurance products, regulations, competitors, recent news
- Professional Skills: communication, time management, workplace etiquette
- The opportunity to explore online research tools, such as LexisNexis
- Learn about policy development and compliance at a health insurance company
Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest in healthcare compliance, health policy, or public policy as a possible career path
- Strong ability to read and write technical information, such as laws and technical guidance and summarize information for a variety of audiences
- Ability to work 40 hours a week from June to August 2025
- Graduating between December 2025 and June 2026
- Seeking a student pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Law, Paralegal, Legal Studies, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, Public Health, History, Sociology, or related major.

Applicants have the option to work full-time remotely, hybrid, or full-time from one of our offices in Madison, WI or Onalaska, WI. Applicants have the option to work remotely, though will preferably be located within a drivable distance from our headquarters in Madison, WI with the ability to travel to our office as needed. Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home or in a hybrid arrangement.
