Job Overview
Responsibilities and Duties
This is the role of supporting and enabling people to meaningfully engage in the work of the church.
- Assist in planning and leading our local mission trip and summer camp
- Co-leading a middle school grow group
- Assist in teaching a Sunday morning class
- Attend weekly next gen meeting and staff meetings
- Preach on occasional Wednesday nights throughout the summer
- Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers.
- Meet with Student Minister 1 hour a week as a mentor
- Network with other Student Pastors in the area
- Develop healthy and appropriate relationships with students
- Learn how to lead volunteers
- Assist in implementing our strategy to reach parents
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience in Student Ministry Preferred
- Administrative Skills
- Demonstrated the ability to work in teams
- Must have strong leadership skills
- Preferably someone that has a passion for Student Ministry
- Must acquire a high energy level and be able to multitask
Other
- A heart for the local church, a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Alignment with Jersey Church vision and mission.
- Must maintain confidentiality and trust in all church matters.
- Must love the church and be willing to serve under the authority of the Senior Pastor.
- Conservative theological views.
