Graphic Design Co-op
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Junior Designer has a passion for creative design, operational excellence, and a desire to join a fast-paced, growing company. The Junior Graphic Designer will report directly to the VP of Marketing, but will work cross-functionally with the entire organization and agency partners to produce both digital and print content. This important role will contribute to an already World-Class marketing team by providing additional creative support and accountability to the entire organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Concept and develop creative for a variety of print and digital mediums including: digital ads, social media, email marketing, store signage and POP, flyers, posters, brochures, infographics; and other marketing materials as needed
- Uphold Tire Discounters brand standards throughout all forms of creative execution
- Prepare all final graphics for print production
- Correctly estimate timelines and meet deadlines on assigned projects
- Pick-up or assist in other marketing, website, digital, or recruiting projects as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign primarily) in addition to Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple projects and multitask accordingly to hit deadlines.
- Excel at problem-solving, written and verbal communication, and time management.
- Attention to detail is a must
- Good under pressure
KPIs:
- Ability to hit deadlines: Estimated time vs. Actual project time
- Ability to work within budget and deliver successful solutions.
- Peer reviews and satisfaction ratings
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent experience in Graphic or Digital Design.
- Portfolio that demonstrates a strong design aesthetic that clearly illustrates your skillset.
- Work history that demonstrates leadership, ability to take ownership, and results.
- Automotive industry experience preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Operates in both an office setting, and within our retail operations.
- Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
- Walking, standing, sitting, listening and talking on a wide variety and continual basis.
- Required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle and/or feel; lift/carry up to 25 pounds, and reach with hands and arms.
