ABOUT OUR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Weissman's Summer Internship Program is an extraordinary opportunity for students pursuing careers in the fashion and apparel manufacturing industries. For over a decade, our program has been a launching pad for future leaders, providing 10 weeks of full-time, paid experience. 

Interns gain hands-on exposure across departments such as Merchandising, Technical Design, Pattern Making, and Marketing, all while being guided by experienced mentors and industry professionals. With professional development seminars and direct involvement in real-world projects, this program offers unparalleled insights into the fashion industry’s dynamic landscape.

JOB SUMMARY

The Social Media Internship at Weissman offers an excellent opportunity for students passionate about digital marketing and content creation to gain real-world experience in managing social media platforms for a leading brand in the dancewear industry. During this 10-week, full-time, paid internship, you will work closely with the Social Media Manager and team to execute social media strategies, create engaging content, and manage brand channels across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube.

Interns will be involved in daily social media management, influencer campaigns, and community engagement, as well as contribute to video content planning and execution. You will also assist in developing creative ideas, maintaining the brand voice, and analyzing trends to enhance Weissman’s online presence. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Social Media Strategy: Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and Assistant to execute the social media strategy, helping to maintain and grow Weissman’s brand presence on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube.
• Assist with Content Creation: Help create engaging visuals and copy for social media posts across all channels, ensuring alignment with the overall content calendar.
• Social Media Management: Manage daily social media activities, including scheduling posts, responding to comments, and engaging with followers to maintain an active and positive online presence.
• Influencer Program Coordination: Support the execution of influencer campaigns by coordinating product orders, researching influencer trends, and contributing ideas to enhance the program’s reach and impact.
• Video Content Support: Research new trends and creative ideas for video content, developing shot lists and planning for video shoots that align with brand objectives.
• Monitor Community Engagement: Help maintain a high level of engagement across all social media platforms, actively responding to customer inquiries and promoting brand advocacy.
• Execute Social Media Calendar: Ensure the timely execution of the social media content calendar, managing the scheduling, copywriting, post promotion, and targeting for each platform.
• Generate Creative Ideas: Contribute innovative storytelling ideas through clever and engaging copy for both organic and paid content, enhancing Weissman’s social media presence.
• Maintain Brand Voice: Ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging across all social media platforms, adhering to Weissman’s social media standards and policies.
• Analyze Social Media Trends: Assist in tracking and analyzing social media trends, providing insights and recommendations for content optimization and audience engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be currently enrolled in a college or university or a recent graduate.
• Working towards a degree in Fashion/Apparel Design, Fashion Merchandising, Retail and Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Ability to relocate to St. Louis, Missouri for the summer.
• Knowledge of dance or activewear is a plus.
• Available to participate in our full-time internship program from June to August 2025.  Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
• Eligible to work in the US without restrictions.
