Overview

This position is responsible for performing recruiting activities, both on and off-campus. The incumbent is expected to provide traditional recruiting to all prospective high school students in his/her designated recruiting area. The incumbent will be a primary point of contact for local schools to promote Mid’s programs and offerings. Other recruitment targets include, but are not limited to, international, guest, and non-traditional students, as well as veterans.
This position also works closely with faculty and academic administrators to facilitate program promotion and to increase enrollment for dual enrolled, transfer, technical, and occupational program students.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide range of audiences.
- Effective motivational skills, sales abilities.
- Ability to use computers, programs, and general office equipment.
- Attention to detail, and the ability to work with figures and budgets.
Education, Certification, & Licensure:
- Bachelor’s degree required; BA/BS in related field preferred (e.g., Business, Communications, Marketing)
- Master’s degree in related field preferred.
Experience:
- At least two years of relevant experience in a variety of areas. For example:
- College Recruiting
- Marketing/Public Relations
- Event planning
- College Student Services
