Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations
- Diagnose and treat eye diseases and disorders
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery
- Participate in flight physicals and other specialized military eye care programs
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure overall patient health

- Supervise optometry technicians and support staff
Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP)
The HPSP is a highly competitive program that offers aspiring optometrists and other healthcare professionals the opportunity to complete their education with full financial support from the Air Force.
