Director of Marketing and Public Relations

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the planning, direction, development, administration, supervision and implementation of a public relations and strategic marketing revenue generating plan. Provides oversight of the hospitals marketing and public relations program in aim of obtaining increased market share, retention, and revenue to the health system.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge & Experience

Skills-

Proven expertise in marketing measurement and analytics.

Success and understanding in executing cross-channel marketing tactics to drive consumer engagement such as social and digital media, advertising and communications platforms, marketing automation/CRM, content creation, and website management.

Expertise in understanding market channel performance and how results are supporting business objectives.

Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability of managing and prioritizing diverse sets of projects.

Ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with all hospital departments.

Exceptional oral and written communications skills.

Ability to effectively collaborate with direct reports, hospital directors, C-Suite leadership, Marketing and Public Relations peers and community leaders.

Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent project management skills.

Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Knowledge-

Proficient in computer applications.

Good working knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.

Education-

Minimum of baccalaureate degree in marketing and public relations or equivalent field.

Must be an articulate person with developed verbal and writing skills.

Capable of dealing with management business and professional people on a peer relationship basis.

Experience-

Five years’ experience in marketing and public relations.

Experience in health care field preferred, but is not required.

Experience managing external agency relationships.

Experience marketing healthcare services to a consumer audience.
