Position Summary
A Research Technician position is available at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine with Dr. Zhibin Cui’s Oral / Head and Neck cancer research team.
The scholarly research activities will consist of:
- Mammalian cell culture, PCR, immunoblotting
- Mice working including: drug treatment, tumor measurement, image, transgenic mice breeding and genotyping
- Transient transfection, lentiviral infection, stable line generation
- Molecular cloning: Gateway, Gibson, sgRNA et al
- Flowcytometry: multiple channel FACS analysis, immune profiling
- Bioinformatic analysis: Python, R, datamining, et al.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree, or higher college level courses and at least 4 years of experience directly related to the project or program
- Experiences in a biomedical science or related field
- Prior experience working in a research laboratory and ability to work independently
- Ability to troubleshoot laboratory protocols
- Competence in molecular biology techniques
- Highly self-disciplined
- Experience working with Word, Excel, Power Point and basic imaging software
