Position Summary

A Research Technician position is available at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine with Dr. Zhibin Cui’s Oral / Head and Neck cancer research team.


The scholarly research activities will consist of:

  • Mammalian cell culture, PCR, immunoblotting
  • Mice working including: drug treatment, tumor measurement, image, transgenic mice breeding and genotyping
  • Transient transfection, lentiviral infection, stable line generation
  • Molecular cloning: Gateway, Gibson, sgRNA et al
  • Flowcytometry: multiple channel FACS analysis, immune profiling
  • Bioinformatic analysis: Python, R, datamining, et al.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree, or higher college level courses and at least 4 years of experience directly related to the project or program
  • Experiences in a biomedical science or related field
  • Prior experience working in a research laboratory and ability to work independently
  • Ability to troubleshoot laboratory protocols
  • Competence in molecular biology techniques
  • Highly self-disciplined
  • Experience working with Word, Excel, Power Point and basic imaging software
