YOUR ROLE AS A SCHOOL BASED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
As an Occupational Therapist at ABC therapy, you will be the forefront of delivering high quality and dynamic OT services across educational settings. Your mission? To assist children facing developmental, educational and behavioral challenges in building essential life skills, maximizing their educational experience and amplifying their unique abilities. Each day, you will apply your expertise as an OT to make a tangible impact on children's lives in ways that are not only enjoyable and rewarding but also incredibly fun!

 

WOULD YOU BE A GREAT SCHOOL BASED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST?

To excel in this role, you'll need to bring a unique set of skills to the table. This includes holding a master's degree or higher as an occupational therapist from an accredited institution, being a licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Ohio and being certified through the Ohio Department of Education to practice as an OT in schools. Furthermore, you should possess a strong commitment to serving children and others, effective communication skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and the knack for fostering strong team relationships. Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and demonstrating sound clinical reasoning and judgment in all services are also crucial.

 

Experience in school settings, working with children with autism or other developmental challenges, as well as addressing behavior and sensory issues, will also be invaluable assets in this role.
