IT Intern - Technical Services

Salary Grade - Level I  17.07 – 21.34 – 25.60 or Level II  18.78 – 23.47 – 28.16

Summary

The internship offers those with a passion for information technology the opportunity to grow their technical aptitude and professional skills. This will be accomplished while learning about the insurance industry and gaining invaluable experience working on challenging projects at a growing regional insurance organization.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support.
  • Manage and communicate problems/incidents with appropriate escalations. 
  • Provide input into process improvement, automation opportunities and influence technical solutions. 

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in computer science or information systems from an accredited four-year high school, college, or university
  • Experience with Desktop support (i.e. hardware/software management, etc.)
  • Experience with Helpdesk support (i.e. troubleshooting, customer service, etc.)
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of insurance industry
  • General understanding of Information Technology architecture, enterprise applications and IT operations
  • Previous Information Technology internship experience is a plus
