Communications and Marketing Manager

COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING MANAGER  

MISSION  

Become a part of the fast-paced, growth-oriented commercial real estate industry in downtown Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs.  Join the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Greater Minneapolis and work with commercial office owners, property managers, engineers and related professions who make our organization the sixth largest BOMA in the United States.   

At BOMA Greater Minneapolis, we are a trade association that works to enhance the success of the commercial real estate market through member engagement, education, and advocacy.  We have a strong and dedicated membership.  In fact, one in five BOMA Greater Minneapolis members participate in a committee.   

We are the voice of 700 real estate professionals in Minneapolis and the suburbs.   

PURPOSE   

We seek a skilled, personable, and forward-thinking Manager of Communications and Marketing.  This person will develop and implement member communications and event promotions.  Creativity and resourcefulness are the important qualities needed to continually entice and engage members to participate in association activities. This position also routinely assists with meeting & event planning/staffing and responding to member special requests.     

This position also manages our membership database and responds to member requests.   

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns across various channels 
  • Design member newsletters and update member materials 
  • Manage social media platforms and create engaging content 
  • Utilize analytics tools to track campaign performance and optimize strategies 
  • Solicit advertisers and sponsors  
  • Manage marketing budgets effectively 
  • Develop and continually enhance website 
  • Manage membership database 
  • Support and co-lead member committees  
  • Provide IT support for the office as needed and requested.   

Other duties as assigned   

 QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations, preferred or commensurate experience  
  • Excellent written and oral skills  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word  
  • Proficient in Canva, Adobe design a plus  
  • Experience updating websites preferred  
  • Experience in using a CRM system preferred. GrowthZone a plus  
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize daily workload, and exercise problem-solving skills
