QC Lab Intern

The Covestro location in Wilmington, Massachusetts produces large scale waterborne urethanes for the use in coatings and adhesives. As a QC Lab Intern within Covestro, you will be responsible for a wide range of lab activities to support day to day and ongoing projects. Candidates must be available for a 3-month assignment during the Summer of 2025 (late May to early August).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Polyurethane QC testing including but not limited to GC, HPLC, titration, viscometer, pH, solids, and particle size
  • Calibration and verification of lab equipment
  • Data and record keeping
  • Abide by laboratory safety procedures and protocols
  • Interns will work under general supervision but with a high degree of independence once trained

WHAT YOU OFFER

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program with a major in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other related field of science
  • Completion of Freshman year
  • Overall GPA of 3.0

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of sophomore year preferred
  • Previous lab experience is a plus
  • Experience with and knowledge about basic chemistry and safe work habits in a laboratory environment
  • Demonstrated PC skills and ability to work within Microsoft Office programs
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
