Continuous Improvement Manager

As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and leading process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity within our electronic manufacturing operations.

 

Role Overview and Responsibilities

  • Charter a vision.
    • Create and drive the site’s continuous improvement roadmap, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, develop action plans, and assist with execution to meet business objectives.
    • Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies and initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and drive operational efficiency.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to continuous improvement and implement relevant strategies as appropriate.
  • Drive change.
    • Lead and facilitate process improvement projects, applying lean methodologies, Six Sigma principles, and other improvement techniques.
    • Partner with the leadership team in establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing robust operating cadences to drive continuous improvement.
    • Conduct thorough data analysis and utilize statistical tools to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
  • Empower teams.
    • Provide training and coaching to team members on continuous improvement methodologies, tools, and techniques.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting employee engagement and empowerment in identifying and implementing improvement ideas.
    • Collaborate with suppliers and customers to enhance supply chain efficiency and drive improvement initiatives throughout the value stream.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a continuous improvement role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge and application of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and executing process improvement projects, resulting in measurable operational and financial improvements.
  • Proficient in data analysis and utilization of statistical software/tools for problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt) is highly desirable.
