Agricultural Field Research Intern

Corteva Agriscience is seeking individuals to work at our New Holland, PA location during the summer and/or fall of 2025. This experience provides individuals with a broad-based exposure on the day-to-day activities of a field research and corn breeding station.

Responsibilities:

Individuals will be expected to participate in all aspects of the research center's activities. Responsibilities may include: seed preparation for planting, plot maintenance, assisting drone flights, data collection, station data collection project if available, and performing disease inoculations to test for plant resistance. Learning opportunities through meetings and/or ride alongs are available with sales, pathology, and breeders.

Fall Only: disease scoring, soil sampling, silage sampling, and more.

 

A key component of the position will be the collection of high-quality data on specific traits of economic importance. Some traveling with overnight stays in Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania may be required. This position provides an excellent opportunity for research experience in the seed industry.

Qualifications:

  • Education focus in Agriculture Science, Agronomy, Plant Physiology, Plant Pathology, Genetics, Biology or a related field is preferred.
  • Agricultural background beneficial
  • Must be willing to relocate or commute to the New Holland, PA area for the duration of employment
  • Willingness to work outdoors and demonstrate a safe work culture is required
  • Must be detail-oriented with ability to collect accurate data
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
