Spring 2025 Free Speech America Internship

Do you want to expose and combat censorship of free speech in the current media sphere?

 

As an MRC FreeSpeech America intern, you will have the opportunity to monitor social media and Big Tech bias, exposing censorship of free speech online. You will help compile articles and analyze cases of censorship from companies like Google, Facebook and X/Twitter.

 

The FreeSpeech America department at MRC looks for interns that have:

  • Ability to present ideas concisely and clearly in writing
  • Ability to perform qualitative and quantitative research
  • Desire to combat media bias and communicate truth to news consumers regarding Big Tech bias and censorship of free speech online
  • Experience with multiple social media platforms
  • Ability to meet deadlines

 

This internship is designed for conservative-minded students and recent graduates. We hire interns during three semesters (Fall, Spring, Summer). The current application is for our spring internship program. Our internship for the spring session begins on January 13, 2025 and runs through April 11, 2025.

Interns at MRC are paid $12/hr.

 

The Media Research Center is a 501(c)3 research and education organization that has been the nation’s premier media watchdog since 1987. We are committed to neutralizing left-wing bias in the news media and popular culture. We do this through analysis and research (NewsBusters), blogs and video (MRCTV), and a complex grassroots and marketing initiative. Because we are a nonprofit, we are careful about our resources, and one of our greatest resources is a team of interns who are excited to learn and promote our work.
