Marketing Communications Internship

Opportunity:

Assist with updating and cleaning company digital and print content. Responsible for editing, modifying, and creating content for web, as well as print documentation and technical data. Perform and present content research and recommendations.

Qualifications:

Education:
Students actively enrolled in a degree program, seeking knowledge in areas of Content Editing, Web Updates, User Experience, Visual Communications.

Experience:
Website content editing and creation. Digital Layout, and Graphic Design. Writing and editing various types of content, including technical.

Areas of Knowledge:
WordPress knowledge. Content editing technical content, creating/editing charts and graphs, updating and researching website graphics/pictures, editing and updating content in foreign languages. Working knowledge in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Up to date on digital marketing tools (Canva, PicMonkey, Adobe Express, Email Marketing Platforms). Word. Graphic design and multimedia/digital content experience (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.).


Skills:
Knowledge in HTML, CSS, PHP, and front-end review. Content management and editing skills with acute attention to detail, high grammatical accuracy, and strong reading comprehension. Effectively produce website updates. Detail oriented, organized, quick learner, and proactive. Time management skills. Works effectively/efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Nature of Work

Website Content Management:

  • Assist in editing/creating content for website pages to ensure consistency and accuracy across all websites.
  • Research, build, and look for ways to enhance the website content. Test the various website elements by seeking and gaining user feedback.
  • Assist in implementation of website Search Engine Optimization techniques and best practices. Collaborate to utilize Google Analytics, G4, Google Ads, and GA SEO software. Assist in testing webpages for ease of use, speed, and other quality factors. Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s web content.
  • Work with departments to ensure their departmental information is correct and up to date.
