Portfolio Management Intern

Internship Program: 

We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our 12-week summer internship program. As an intern with American Modern, you will gain practical experience, build professional relationships, and contribute to the success of our organization.

As a valued intern with our Portfolio Management team, you will have the opportunity to assist with the following projects: ​ 

  • Data Collection and Validation from internal and external Third Party sources. 
  • Data Analysis to solve problems or provide information for decision making. 
  • Data Reporting and Visualization through creation self-service tools/dashboards by leveraging AI to support Accumulation Monitoring. 
  • Participate in peril based research, documentation and creation of SOPs. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree. Math, Statistics or Actuarial Science majors are preferred. 
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks. 
  • Confidence in use of MS Office 365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Notes, Teams). 
  • Familiarity with Python is preferred, SQL and MS PowerBI.  
  • Authorized to work in the United States of America. 
  • Candidates must be local (Amelia, OH) and will work in the office Tuesdays and Thursdays.
