Interscholastic Director

Interscholastic Director 



SUMMARY

Interscholastic Director administers and manages the TUSD K-12 interscholastic programs.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS for Interscholastic Director 

  • Master’s degree with certification in Physical Education or Athletic Administration.
  • Five (5) years of athletic administrative experience at the high school level that includes three years of Head Coaching experience.
  • Arizona Administrative Certificate.
  • Three (3) years of experience interpreting AIA rules, awareness of athletic liability issues, and experience in managing school budgets to include bid preparation and allocation of funds.

 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS

  • Verbal and written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
  • Experience in working with diverse constituencies/populations


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

  • FBI fingerprint background check.
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
  • Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department.


COMMENTS:

  • Interscholastic Director Pay Range $84,664.60 to $98,292.99/hour
  • Effective: 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
  • Classification: Non-Bargaining
  • FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day
  • Work Calendar: 12 month
