We are seeking a PERSONAL LINES INSURANCE AGENT for full-time employment at our office in Columbia, Maryland.  This job would include selling and servicing auto, home and umbrella insurance policies. We are a family-owned and operated second-generation Agency with an energetic, driven, enthusiastic and goal-oriented staff.  We're looking to add to our team! While we are in the sales field, we focus on the specific clients.  We truly do operate by the golden rule of “treating others as you would want to be treated.” 

 

This role will allow you to gain hands-on sales and customer service experience.  This is a client-facing role, with most conversations done over the phone or via email.  Polished written and verbal communication skills are a must for this position.  Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task are necessary. Employee should have the ability to communicate well with clients via telephone and email.  General computer competency (Microsoft office) is also a must.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass background check.
  • Must have authorization to work in the US.
  • This is a full-time, in-person position, with some work from home flexibility as you grow in the role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Business casual dress code.
  • A Maryland state insurance license is a benefit, but not a necessity.  We will assist in the training and tuition to obtain an insurance license.
