Internship - Instructional Design

 

Location: Birmingham, AL

What You’ll Do:

Develop, Design, Review and Edit Training. Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to design and edit technical training content. Build both interactive e-learning modules and classroom instructional content. Assist in the development and implementation of training reinforcement plans through micro learnings, capturing transfer of knowledge. 

Video Editing. Work with different video editing tools to develop video-based training content that can be viewed on mobile devices. 

Your assignment will be in Birmingham, Alabama at Vulcan’s corporate headquarters location.

 

Skills You’ll Need:

Education. Must be enrolled and in good standing with your college or university. Must be pursuing a degree in a field related to Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or Organizational Behavior. Junior, Senior, or Graduate level students are preferred.

Experience. Experience in developing training content, instructional design and working in a Learning Management System is preferred.

Interpersonal Skills. Must have strong oral and written communication skills. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with executives and hourly employees alike. Must have the ability to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and executive presence. 

Time Management Skills. Must have strong time management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must have the ability to work well without direct supervision. 

Technology Skills. Experience with an LMS, Storyline 360, Articulate and video editing software is a plus. Must have strong technology skills and experience using Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
