Student Assistant in Department in Psychiatry

Position Purpose:       

To provide administrative and research-specific support to the Preventing Maternal Mood, Anxiety, and Trauma Symptoms after Cesarean Delivery research study.

Job Description:

The student employee will be working with the Preventing Maternal Mood, Anxiety, and Trauma Symptoms after Cesarean Delivery research study team. Responsibilities are as follows: 

  • Transcribe study participant/workgroup videos and code transcripts
  • Attend regular research team meetings
  • Assist with data collection in-person as needed
  • Additional duties as assigned 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a current student taking at least6 credit hours(undergraduate) or 3 credit hours (graduate)
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word Must be dependable, detail-oriented, flexible, organized, willing to learn, possess the ability to multi-task, and have a professional demeanor.
  • Must have solid written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally via telephone and email.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
  • Data analysis of qualitative and quantitative data

Length of Employment:

Through the academic year (May 2025)

Remarks:

The Student Assistant commits to showing up for work diligently and punctually, honesty, performing assigned tasks, following directions, taking initiative, reliability, confidentiality, checking work for thoroughness and accuracy with attention to detail, and interest in learning new skills, especially mandatory computer skills. Ideal candidates will be willing to work up to a maximum of 25 hours weekly.

Pay Range:

$17 per hour
