Position Description:
Fungi Life is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Intern to support our mission of transforming the chemical industry through sustainable fungal biotechnology. The intern will work closely with our business development team to identify new market opportunities, assist in the development of strategic partnerships, and contribute to the expansion of our sustainable ingredient portfolio. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic startup environment, working at the intersection of sustainability, biotechnology, and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct market research to identify potential customers, partners, and competitors in the biotech and chemical industries.
Assist in the creation and implementation of business strategies to drive growth and market penetration.
Support the development of pitch decks, presentations, and other materials for potential investors and partners.
Collaborate with the marketing team to analyze market trends and customer needs.
Participate in the evaluation of new business opportunities, including the preparation of financial models and forecasts.
Assist in managing relationships with current and potential partners.
Desired Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough market research and analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling presentations and reports.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
A passion for sustainability and an interest in biotechnology and green chemistry.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced startup environment.
Prior experience in business development, market research, or a related field is a plus.
Time Commitment: 30 hours/week
