Co-Op, Assistant Scientist/ Microbiology (12-months, January 2025 Start)

As a co-op student in the Microbiology Department, you will play a crucial role in various microbiological processes and procedures. Your responsibilities will encompass the formulation and analysis of microbiological media, as well as environmental monitoring.

 

This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various facets of microbiology, contributing to the success and continuous improvement of the Microbiology Department.

 

What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?

 

Media Formulation

  • Prepare microbiological media to facilitate microbial analysis for water samples, developmental samples, and stability samples.

 

Environmental Monitoring

  • Conduct environmental monitoring for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the West Wing Pilot Plant and Clinical Packaging Areas.

To enable you to perform in this future talent opportunity:

Education required:

  • 2-3 years at undergraduate or masters level with an interest in science related field, such as biology or microbiology.
  • Have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a degree program.

 

Other requirements:

  • Ability to start in January 2025.
  • Candidate must be eligible to work on a full-time basis (40 hours a week) during the co-op duration (12 months).
  • Provide your own funding for relocation and commuting.
  • This role is onsite at our Richmond, VA location.
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of, their employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization.

 

Expected start date: January 2025
