Job Description/Responsibilities:

 

Come be a part of our team, where your efforts will further enhance our story! Our Environmental Compliance and Sustainability Intern will assist our Environmental Compliance team in monitoring and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards. You will work closely with our Operations Team to research and implement various Sustainability projects within our organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in reviewing and interpreting environmental regulations, sustainability trends, and industry benchmarks.
  • Support the preparation and submission of compliance reports and documentation.
  • Help monitor and track environmental performance metrics and compliance status.
  • Participate in internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental policies.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating environmental compliance records and databases.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of environmental compliance programs and initiatives.
  • Support the preparation of training materials and presentations on compliance topics.
  • Assist in the development and execution of sustainability projects and programs.
  • Help track and analyze sustainability metrics and report on progress.
  • Support the creation of sustainability reports and presentations.
  • Assist with organizing and promoting internal Environmental events.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify and implement sustainable practices.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, sustainability, law, or a related field
  • Anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic, innovative, solution-oriented mindset, with a passion for learning 
  • Team player with effective communication skills and a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Strong interest in environmental compliance, regulations, and sustainability.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Louisville, Kentucky or Frankfort, Kentucky for the duration of the internship
  • Must be at least 20 years of age by the start of the internship
  • Permanent authorization to work in the United States for any employer
