Direct Support Professional
A Direct Support Professional (DSP) works with people with developmental or intellectual disabilities to help them live a quality of life. At CCNEO, you'll be part of a community dedicated to making a positive impact. This role is perfect for students who are passionate about advocacy, community service, and working with diverse populations.
- Pay rate will be increased after a 90-day probation period.
As a DSP, you will:
- Make an Impact: Work directly with adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, supporting them in leading fulfilling and independent lives.
- Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe and positive environment for those you support.
- Advocate and Empower: Help individuals access community resources, make informed decisions, and engage in social networks.
- Engage with the Community: Assist in integrating individuals into their local communities through outings, activities, and social events.
- Support Daily Living: Provide assistance with personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and more.
- Create Fun and Learning Opportunities: Plan and implement engaging activities to help strengthen physical and mental health.

Qualifications:
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with less than 6 points on the driving record
- Willingness to undergo necessary training, including First Aid/CPR and other job-specific certifications
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to be COVID vaccinated if required
