Staff Accountant / Auditor

Corwin & Company is a fast growing public accounting firm with locations in Wadsworth and North Canton, Ohio. We offer a full range of accounting services including tax preparation and planning, attestation services, monthly bookkeeping and financial statement preparation, business valuations and consulting.

A public accounting firm seeks a staff accountant/auditor for our Wadsworth, Ohio office. This position will report directly to the Audit Partner to assist them in completing and planning attestation engagements. Responsibilities include attestation engagements for governmental entities including HUD properties, nursing homes, benefit plan audits and other compliance engagements as assigned and preparation of monthly financial statements.

Position Requirements:

• Detailed knowledge of GAAP
• Analyze financial statements and ensure proper financial statement disclosures
• Able to handle multiple projects efficiently
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to multi-task

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting
