Summary

Playaway Products is looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our Operations team. This is an opportunity to grow and experience all aspects within a Supply Chain!  This entry level position will work closely with the Demand Planner to execute, through data driven decisions, purchasing needs for the company.  The primary category will be book buying to support the Wonderbook product, but will also Include packaging, office supplies, warehouse supplies, and other on-demand sourcing and procurement needs. This position will be on-site at our office in Solon, Ohio.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet with new and current vendors/suppliers to establish on going, mutually beneficial relations.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planner on all purchasing requirements
  • Issue Purchase Orders to vendors, suppliers, and pubs
  • Assist with sourcing, including obtaining pricing and samples for new products
  • Purchasing of all production and facility supplies

 

Qualifications and Preferences

  • Strong communication skills 
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in self-directed, fast paced, multi-task environment while ensuring accuracy.
  • Minimum 1 year Supply Chain / Buying experience or equivalent education from accredited institution.
  • Prior experience working with system driven inventory management; NetSuite experience a plus but not required

 

Working Conditions

  • May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 35 lbs.
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
